Use the right service

Using the Right Service

NHS services are very busy. When the surgery is closed, please use your local pharmacy or call NHS 111 for advice or visit https://www.staywelldorset.nhs.uk

Please remember to only call 999 for life-threatening emergencies, and if you have flu or norovirus symptoms please do not visit the hospital.

The best way stay well this winter is to use the right service, at the right time.

Words "and so the adventure begins"

Are you ready for change?

Many of us come out of Christmas and jump straight into New Year’s resolutions, setting ourselves tough, often unrealistic, health goals. We want to be in control, for everything to be perfect.

But change is about progress, not perfection. Taking small, achievable steps is more likely to lead to success than quick fixes or fads. Each January LiveWell Dorset supports thousands of people to lead a healthier life, not just for a month, but for as long as it takes, with 1-2-1 coaching, slimming club vouchers, smoking quit kits and activity plans.

Register online: www.livewelldorset.co.uk or call free: 0800 840 1628.

Blood Tubes

Nurses Appointments

We are short on nurse appointments and in particular blood test appointments whilst we are waiting for our new Health Care Assistant to start.

Please make sure to attend your booked appointments. If you can't make it, let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the slot to someone else.

For ONE missed Long Term Condition Review appointment, THREE people could have had blood test appointments, so it's really important not to waste these slots.

Thank you for your understanding!

eConsults

Please can we ask that from now onwards, rather than use the surgery email address for clinical or medication queries, you complete an eConsult form online as the GP’s no longer take questions via email. This would also include requests for sick notes.

To access the eConsult service please click on the ‘Complete an eConsult’ button on the front page of our surgery website www.masurgery.co.uk. You can also submit an eConsult from the NHS app.

For more details on how to use eConsult please click here https://econsult.net/nhs-patients/how-to-use-econsult

This will help with efficiency and the GP workload. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
